I only like west ham players .but I saw Sammy lee shaking a big issue sellers hand a few months ago next door to Covent garden station.seemed a nice guy. but he was still fucking offside .

I met Alan Hudson at a us v Millwall for a lunchtime kick off about 10 years ago.
Being in a box, smart causal was required. Alan decided that meant he wore his best string vest! He then had a saucer of baked beans, when the rest of us had a full English, before launching into a solid afternoon of vodka & orange.

I met Matt Elliott (Leicester) at a water park in Tenerife in the 90s. Recognised him straight away in the restaurant. Ended up meeting him and his other half later that evening and we sat for hours talking about football in some karaoke bar. True story and a pretty decent bloke to boot

Spent many an evening in Roy McDonough's company. Usually in the pub next door to the hippodrome in Colchester. He was manager at the time and basically went out on the piss all the time with his team. A MATE (copyright Soldo) was a player there. He was a good laugh but a liability come chucking out time. Given pass after pass with the OB because he was a 'face' in town.
